FOCUS ON O’CLOCK, HALF PAST, QUARTER TO AND PAST THE HOUR ANALOGUE CLOCK TIME These Italian Telling Time Dominoes Games will definitely help your students develop their skill in telling time in Italian in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, learning independently of the teacher. They have a bonus multi-focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, and reading. They’re absolutely ideal for independent learning, and perfect for pair and small-group work. Students can work happily challenging themselves and each other to create a perfect domino time-sequence line, on the classroom floor or on a long(ish) table, by matching the times and the clock faces. PRIMARY MATHS TIMES TABLES 1-6 CARDS

(1)
TIMES TABLES MATHS FOR EARLY YEARS PRIMARY MATHS Multiplication tables 1-6 cards, with matching question and answer cards. I've used these in school and for homeschooling too. Children really enjoy sorting out the cards, on a large table (and often on the floor!) and working independently, either alone, in pairs or in small groups. I always give children a reference mat - it's a great way of ensuring everyone can enjoy the games, and lets them check their answers too. I've numbered the question cards, which helps children track their answer when they're looking at the reference mat. My Monster Maths cards are a firm favourite (in French and Spanish too!) with young learners - they find the visual aspect really engaging, which is such an important element to helping them engage with the content happily and with confidence. They are ideal for small-group and intervention work. I always laminate learning cards and reference mats, because they're so much easier to work with - and they last for years! I've uploaded a black and white version too, which can really help to keep costs down. The files are non-editable in a zip file, and are copyright. All rights are reserved. The files can't be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. Please read the Terms of Use carefully. THANKS AND HAVE LOTS OF MONSTER MATHS FUN!

ITALIAN NUMBERS 0-31 CHALLENGE CARDS

(3)
KS3 ITALIAN PRIMARY ITALIAN NUMBERS 0-31 36 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS WITH ANSWER KEY & RECORDING SHEET really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their knowledge of Italian numbers in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. They have a bonus multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping students familiarise themselves with, and develop competence in, speaking, reading, writing and spelling longer words in Italian. The cards are useful not only when you’re focusing on Numbers 0-31, but also as an all-year-round starter, plenary and general ‘pick-me-up’ activity, as the goal is not simply to learn how to count in Italian, but also to enjoy working with Italian, and to feel confident about doing so. The questions range in complexity and challenge in terms of language and calculation, though they are designed for advanced beginner Italian language learners, who will generally be more advanced in their maths skills. The question card template enables students to apply their knowledge of language and arithmetic creatively and practically too - my students really enjoy creating questions for each other. All the questions are in Italian, which really helps students develop language awareness skills, use their prior learning to progress current learning, and encouraging them to infer meaning from context. There is ample opportunity for students to lean some Italian mathematical language too, which they don’t necessarily engage with very often. Have a browse in my store for more Italian numbers activities, and a wide range of other Italian teaching and learning resources, with special offer bundles, resource boxes, and lots of freebies too! PRIMARY FRENCH HALLOWEEN NUMBERS 0-20 GAMES CARDS

Primary French FSL French Immersion These French Numbers 0-20 Halloween games cards are great for practising numbers in French with a focus on addition and subtraction - they also offer a really useful opportunity for multi-skill and cross-curricular learning. Children can develop their skills in word recognition and recall, pronunciation, speaking, listening and reading in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. My younger learners really love to work with the cards, and we play as often as we can in the run-up to Halloween. There are lots of games they like to play, and I’ve described several of them in the resource file. I always do a quick warm-up and recap of numbers before we play any number games, and the simple forwards and backwards counting presentation is ideal for this. There are 72 calculations in total - 36 addition and 36 subtraction. The answer cards are marked with a plus or minus sign. This means that there are 144 cards in total - it’s quite a bit of prep, but do laminate them if you can, as they are far more user-friendly, and also last for many Halloweens! PRIMARY MATHS NUMBERS 0-100 WORD SEARCHES

(0)
PRIMARY MATHS NUMBERS 0-100 Ten differentiated word searches with answer keys a fabulous way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word, practising and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This set features ten differentiated word searches, focusing on Numbers 0-100, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. The searches offer a really useful learning opportunity - enabling learners to engage with the target numbers vocabulary, but also aligning with cross-curricular learning - working on comprehension and arithmetic skills in general. Learners are able to identify which direction words are located in within the grid by referring to the arrow key. As they move through the grids, their skills are challenged in a range of ways - from straightforward vocabulary searching, to gap-fill, scrambled letters and sentence questions, which feature mathematical language. Hyphens are really important in English numbers, and the grids feature these quite clearly, in order to ensure that learners can practice this aspect of language. There is an answer grid for each word search, so that learners can check their answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it. For me, answer keys are essential, as they not only provide learners with another opportunity to engage with language, but they also help them develop more independence in their learning. They’re also a great teacher time-saver - a real bonus! There is a single word search per page, portrait format. I like to ensure that text is accessible to all learners—and at this stage of their learning, it’s absolutely essential that language looks accessible and manageable. There are two formats to choose from - the search grids and answer keys as separate worksheets, and also a file with both grids and answer keys together, so that you can print each grid and key double-sided, according to which suits your classroom needs better. Your students will find this freebie helpful: PRIMARY MATHS : NUMBERS 0-100 REFERENCE LIST https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/primary-maths-numbers-0-100-list-12687276 Have a browse in my store for more primary maths resources and activities! PRIMARY FRENCH TELLING TIME BINGO #2

(0)
PRIMARY FRENCH BINGO FRENCH TELLING TIME HALF PAST BINGO GAMES! 100 DIFFERENTIATED BINGO GRIDS AND 32 CALLING CARDS! Bingo games are perfect for language learning, and they’re really easy to differentiate. All my students, regardless of age, find playing the games a great way of consolidating their vocab, and developing their French language skills in general - bingo is absolutely perfect for speaking, listening, reading and writing/spelling. I designed the games for Primary French lessons, but they work really well for an introduction to telling time in Year 7 / first year of high school. I have folders ready with lots of different bingo grids in them, so that they are good to grab and go whenever students select them, or I decide it’s time for a quick practice and refresh session. In this pack there are six files, which are all non-editable and in a zipped format: File 1: 50 clock face 9-square grids, 2 per page (25 pages). I play in different ways, for example I might give students a random selection of pages, and they select the order of grids they play from. Sometimes I cut out the grids, and place them in a small bowl or similar object on tables, and students select grids randomly from the bowl. Depending on the size of your class, you should have several winners per game. The grids designed for all the squares to be crossed off in order to win the game. File 2: 30 French time phrases bingo 9-square grids, 2 per page (15 pages) - great for both listening and reading skills File 3: 20 mixed clock face and time phrase 9-square grids, 2 per page (10 pages). File 4: 3 blank templates for clock face, time phrase and mixed clock face and time phrase games for students to create their own bingo grids for each other. File 5: 32 French calling cards, with all the time phrases written in full. I add an extra challenge by calling the time phrases out in English from time to time - I’ve found that’s a really great way of further consolidating vocab - students have to focus carefully on the language ‘switch’! It’s definitely useful to have calling cards, so that you can keep track of what you’re calling out, and it also lets students be the bingo caller too, meaning they can play quite independently. File 6: French counters you can laminate for students to play with — or keep it low-tech and use pens or pencils! The resource is copyright, all rights reserved - the license for purchase is a single-user only license. MERCI BEAUCOUP ET BON DIVERTISSEMENT !

**MATHS FOR EARLY YEARS - ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION NUMBERS 0-20 GAMES CARDS - PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING NUMERACY SKILLS - 72 CALCULATIONS ** MONSTER MATHS MATCHING GAME CARDS are perfect for practising addition and subtraction, focusing on numbers up to 20. Children can work together or alone, challenging each other and themselves to calculate correctly in order to find the right answer. The monster theme is really popular with children too, and the physical nature of the games is effective for all learners, particularly those who tend to favour kinaesthetic learning activities. I’ve found that the games work particularly well for small group and intervention or additional support work. They’re perfect for rainy day games both at school and at home too! Children enjoy working both at their own pace, and also sometimes with a little competitive edge in teams, using a timer to really challenge themselves - can they beat their own time record? Revisit regularly to map both improved number recognition and calculation skill, as well as increasing confidence. The question cards are numbered, which helps children track their responses when they refer to the answer key. Having access to the answer key helps facilitate both self– and peer assessment in the matching game, and enables children to become a little more independent in their learning. They can easily identify which questions and responses are either addition or subtraction by looking for the +/- sign, and also the position of the monster on the card. Laminate the cards and answer keys if you can - you’ll be able to use them for years to come! I’ve included both a colour and a B&W version of the cards and answer keys, which is helpful if you need to keep prep costs down. This resource consists of four non-editable files in a zipped format. Please read the Terms of Use carefully - this resource is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed in any way. PRIMARY MATHS NUMBERS 0-10 WORD SEARCHES

PRIMARY MATHS NUMBERS 0-10 word searches - ideal for primary maths activities and independent learning. Word searches a fabulous way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word, practising and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. The set features five differentiated word searches, focusing on high-frequency words : Numbers 0-10, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. The searches offer a really useful learning opportunity - consolidating not only new words and vocabulary (numbers), but also working on reading, writing, spelling and literacy skills in general. Learners are able to identify which direction words are located in within the grid by referring to the arrow key. For additional consolidation, they also rewrite each number in the word column. There are also two question and answer key grid templates for learners to create their own searches for each other — this is a really popular activity, and I’ve found that my learners often like to create grids for family at home too. The templates enable learners to apply their language practically and creatively, which is really important at this stage of literacy development. There is an answer grid for each word search, so that learners can check their answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it! For me, answer keys are essential, as they not only provide learners with another opportunity to engage with language, but they also help them develop more independence in their learning. They’re also a great teacher time-saver - a real bonus! The word searches are in landscape format, mirroring the common direction of reading and writing from left to right, facilitating learner engagement with the activity. The landscape format is also really useful for learners whose first language is written from right to left. There is a single grid per 8.5 x 11 (A4) sheet - I like to ensure that text is accessible to all learners - and at this stage of their learning, it’s absolutely essential that language looks accessible and manageable. Have a look at this Primary Maths Numbers 0-10 word search freebie - it’s the same format as these word searches, and you can see if they will suit your learners: PRIMARY MATHS NUMBERS 0-10 WORD SEARCH FREEBIE https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/primary-maths-numbers-0-10-word-search-freebie-12660335 Please note this is the Primary Maths edition of my ESL / EFL Numbers 0-10 word searches. ESL EFL ENGLISH NUMBERS GAMES English Numbers 0-31 I have, Who has? This is a***whole-group lively & communicative language learning game***, perfect for practising, reinforcing & refreshing how to count from 0 - 31 in English. The game has a***multi-skill focus: listening, speaking & reading***, with an important bonus focus on social interaction and participation. It’s perfect for pronunciation practice too. The aim of the game is to create an English number chain as quickly as possible, starting with the first card zero, and ending with the final card, thirty-one. The game works just as well if the number sequence is placed on the floor, a longish table, or other flat surface. I created the game for my young beginner learners, but I’ve also played the game with my adult learners, who really enjoy it too - the monster theme is popular with everyone! The design is four cards per page, which allows for a large font - this is really important for beginner language learners who are starting to familiarize themselves with the written word. Try to print in colour if you can - it adds to the visual appeal of the game, which is a real motivator for learning. Download, print out, laminate, cut out & shuffle the cards. I’d definitely recommend you laminate the cards, despite the extra prep and expense. They’re far more learner-friendly, and they will last for absolutely years. Distribute the cards, one or two per student, depending on how many students you have in your group. I often play too - students really do enjoy it when I join in, and they seem to work that little bit harder on their concentration and pronunciation. Students walk around the room, talking to each other in their best English accent, sharing the information on their cards, until they have arranged the numbers in the correct order. The game works best played against a timer, regularly over a longer-term series of lessons - can students beat beat their own time record? I always do some high-speed counting warm-up activities, forwards & backwards, to get everyone ready to play! PRIMARY MATHS NUMBERS 0-10 WORD SEARCH FREEBIE

(3)
PRIMARY MATHS NUMBERS 0-10 Word searches a fabulous way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word, practising and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This is a free word search, focusing on Numbers 0-10. The search offers a really useful learning opportunity - consolidating not only new numbers, but also working on reading, writing, spelling and literacy skills in general - children often focus on the arithmetic skills involved with numbers, but it’s just as important to work on consolidating the written words too. It’s ideal for both independent learning, as a fun-time filler as well as a targeted practice of the written numbers themselves. Word searches are easily differentiated, with opportunity to increase challenge gradually, and learners have to look very carefully at letters, and how words are constructed to complete the grid. They are able to identify which direction words are located in within the grid by referring to the arrow key. Here, for additional consolidation, they also rewrite each number in the word column. There is an answer grid for the word search, so that learners can check their answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it! For me, answer keys are essential, as they not only provide learners with another opportunity to engage with language, but they also help them develop more independence in their learning. They’re also a great teacher time-saver - a real bonus! The word search is in landscape format, mirroring the common direction of reading and writing in English from left to right, facilitating learner engagement with the activity. The landscape format is also really useful for learners whose first language is written from right to left. There is a single grid per 8.5 x 11 (A4) sheet - I like to ensure that text is accessible to all learners, and at this stage of their learning, it’s absolutely essential that language looks accessible and manageable. PRIMARY MATHS NUMBERS 0-100 LIST

NUMBERS 0-100 LIST I’ve found that these kinds of reference lists are a really successful learning support resource, and are really popular with students too. They work well when students keep them carefully in learning files or folders for current and future reference. They also work well printed double-sided and laminated for small-group work in class. There are two backgrounds to choose from - colour pattern, which I often use for display, or black wave. The numbers are written across single page in landscape format.
